Great Success with InterDesign!

March 1, 2012

Recently I made a trip to Honolulu on behalf of InterDesign as well as Bettencourt Group. Focusing on InterDesign in particular, I would like to share some results. Overall, the InterDesign business at this point is mostly structured as a plan-o-gram business with hardware, home improvement, and a container-type retailer (Simply Organized). They do also have a few independent retailers. The store I visited was Executive Chef, a 100% traditional kitchen store. They buy InterDesign very broadly, and categorize the skus according to end use. The buyer writes a $2,500 to $3,000 order just about every 5 weeks! Although they are a kitchen store, they fully show the bath side of InterDesign as well. Big categories for them are sink-related items; drying mats, pumps and bath. This is an account that could easily grow to be $50,000 per year! Believe me, each of us has at least 2, possibly 3 of those accounts in our territories. Who will your next InterDesign customer be?

New line – Sustainable Futures

February 22, 2012

Bettencourt is happy to welcome Sustainable Futures to our family of products! This is a non-profit organization operating in Boise, Idaho, whose mission is to address social, environmental and economic needs in their community. By re-purposing wine, beer and spirit bottles, SF turns out everything from drinking glasses and decanters to wind chimes and votives. As if this isn’t awesome enough, SF admirably provides life skills training to community members facing employment barriers. Men and women recently released from prison, as well as refugees and at-risk youth, are all eligible for the SF program. This program provides work experience and life-skills to these individuals, whom upon graduation have demonstrated responsibility, while creating products to generate revenue for future participants. How cool is that?! Stop by the showroom to see their array of products, or contact your local rep!

Bettencourt has a new showroom!

February 22, 2012

Bettencourt has recently taken on another 1,000 square feet to showcase our beautiful home décor lines, HomArt and Zodax! Those of you who were able to brave the Seattle snow storm and make it to the shows, would have been among the first to see our recently unveiled space. We are honored to display such beautiful lines, and our new space has given us the freedom to really make them shine. We had the privilege of having Bradley Duncan come to Seattle to merchandise the HomArt space in November. Brad is the Sales Manager at HomArt, and as you can see, he did an absolutely beautiful job! HomArt is looking more fabulous than ever, especially with their new product additions. Zodax has also come out with some stunning new pieces that you won’t want to miss, including diffusers, glassware, and beautiful designs from Barclay Butera. Visit our new showroom today or contact your local rep for further details.
